Who am I?

Hello,

My name is Ekaterina Netchitailova. The last name might sound unpronounceable and it does mean ‘unreadable’ in the Russian language, but bare with me: I love writing and I definitely can read. Writing and reading are among my biggest passions in life, together with the French language, following my faith (Christianity), drinking coffee and good quality red wine (not every day, mind you), eating super delicious food, languages, music, and being in touch with the Goddess and angels.

They call it: insanity, lol.

I was born in Moscow but since then lived in 3 other countries (in two of them – twice) and speak 4 languages fluently. I still want to learn German and Italian and I love the sound of the Arabic language: to my ear it seems like a fire with precise lightening destination, it sounds like a deep, very passionate, soul profound language.
I did my studies in Brussels as an interpreter, and then in Amsterdam where I also worked as a financial analyst of banks and portfolio manager. I got mad there. One day I woke up from a dream of normality and saw a crowd of white doves flying around me. Whether it was a sign of the upcoming Jesus, is something I chose to believe in.

After Amsterdam (where I got my first PhD offer in the field of the geography of finances), I moved later to Brussels again, where I worked as a recruiter, before moving to the UK where I obtained a PhD bursary a second time, and fortune decided that I would complete a PhD at the faculty of sociology in the amazing town of Sheffield, studying Facebook from both the micro and macro perspectives.
I love books, real books that I can touch,  nature,  rivers, oceans and water, interesting cafes, cats, dogs and horses, and looking at manifestations of weirdness around me, as I believe that without it, the world would be a more boring place.
